LAURA WHITELEY, MD
Laura Whiteley MD

Laura Whiteley MD is a board certified psychiatrist with extensive experience treating anxiety, mood, sleep, and attention disorders in adults and adolescents. As a psychiatrist, she is qualified to provide both therapy and medications to streamline and integrate care. If preferred, she can also work with your therapist or treatment team to provide medication management.

 

Dr. Whiteley uses medications thoughtfully and appropriately. She also use evidence-based behavioral interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT).

VIRGINIA CURTIS, PMHNP-BC

Virginia Curtis PMHNP is a board certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with experience treating children, adolescents and adults. She is passionate about providing high-quality and evidence-based mental health services.

 

As a PMHNP, Virginia has training in the psychopharmacologic treatment of  mood, anxiety, and attentional disorders. She is also trained in the delivery of evidence based psychotherapies such as CBT and DBT. She received training in the delivery of these evidence based psychotherapies through her work as a research assistant and behavioral interventionist for studies funded by the NIMH. She continues to be committed to using these therapy skills in her work with patients in the practice.

Patients and colleagues describe Virginia as empathic and warm. She is known to be an excellent listener, truly taking the time to get to know her patients. In addition, she is known to be judicious, thoughtful, and data-driven with her use of medications. She is committed to utilizing non-pharmacologic coping mechanisms and behavioral techniques whenever possible.
